About the music in the Prehistory

The study of music in Prehistory is limited by the few important archaeological remains found in archaeological sites. The origin of music is unknown, since by then the voice or body percussion was used. It can be deduced that music was born by extending and enhancing the sounds of language. Perforated bones have been found, that could be flutes, bone and seeds rattles and, wooden flutes... Primitive peoples related music to religion and magic. In the rites, the music was played. The percussion was already known.

In conclusion, if already the music in Antiquity is very difficult to know, in Prehistory even more... there are things that can sense, and there are remains in crude instruments and some reliefs, but even so, we barely known of these populations generally speaking, so about music, even less.
